Organized in partnership with the European Union Turkey friendship group and TURKPOL association Business Club, the conference themed “Business and economy after the pandemic in Eastern Europe on the axis of Poland Turkey” was held in Warsaw.
The meeting, which was held with the participation of Richard Czarneski, the founder of the European Union Turkey friendship group and the European Parliament Poland deputy, and İpek Tekdemir, the general secretary of the European Union Turkey Friendship Group, was attended by the Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau and the Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin to the European Union Turkey Friendship Group. and TURKPOL’s thank you messages were read.
Polish bureaucrats, representatives of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce of Poland and Turkey, Polish business people and representatives of Turkish companies operating in Poland took part in the meeting.
The meeting focused on the current Polish-Turkey commercial relations, strengthening economic and cultural relations after the pandemic process, supporting studies and projects regarding new investments to be made between Polish and Turkish companies, meeting the needs of Polish companies continuing their commercial activities in Turkey and Turkish companies continuing their commercial activities in Poland. and issues were addressed.
At the meeting, the point that the relations between Poland and Turkey have reached today and the importance of 600 years of diplomatic relations were emphasized. Speaking at the meeting, Ms. İpek Tekdemir, secretary general of the European Union Turkey Friendship Group, stated that this event will be a bridge that will further strengthen the existing relations.
At the meeting, where the events in Ukraine, which is the neighbor of Turkey and Poland, were also discussed, the issue of how the process will affect both the Ukrainian people and the countries in the vicinity was discussed. Opinions were exchanged on the work and aid projects that can be done for the citizens who have been victimized by the war in Ukraine.
Polish and Turkish authorities decided to meet in quarterly periods with the events to be organized by TURKPOL in order to strengthen the commercial activities, friendship and solidarity between the two countries and to make the future projects and activities more effective.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Richard Czarneski, the founder of the European Union Turkey friendship group and the European Parliament Poland deputy, was presented with a plaque of appreciation by the President of TURKPOL Association, M.Göktürk İplikçioğlu, for his support for the relations between the two countries.
