Secretariat communication record
TURKPOL's General Meeting of Members took place on 21 October 2026 at the association's seat, ul. Grzybowska 4 in Warsaw, and online on Microsoft Teams. Fifteen of the nineteen members entitled to vote took part, twelve in the room and three remotely, so the meeting could decide on every item on its agenda. Every resolution passed unanimously.
The new Board
The members elected the Board for a three-year term:
- Tunç Meriç, President of the Board
- Danuta Chmielowska, Vice-President of the Board
- Luiza Biedrzycka-Üçüncü
- Aynura Aliyeva
- Ramil Zeynalov
- Mehmet Dalkılıç
- Marcin Przybyłek, General Secretary
- Hakan Haner
- Atilla Arda Beşen
The Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is the association's internal control body, independent of the Board. Its members, also elected for three years, are Pınar Zeytinoğlu (Chair), Burak Doğan and Guvanch Esenov.
The statute
The members adopted the 2026 amendment of the statute. It brings in clearer rules for members' rights and discipline, ethics and confidentiality, remote and hybrid meetings, financial safeguards and an independent Audit Committee, and prepares TURKPOL for public-benefit status and EU project funding. The amendment takes effect when the National Court Register (KRS) enters it. The full text is at /about/statute, and the September article explains what changes and why.
Reports and membership
The members approved the reports of the Board and the Audit Committee and granted the outgoing Board discharge for the 2023–2026 term. The Board also set out the membership renewal: the membership year is the calendar year, and membership fees are the association's main source of income.
Thank you to every member who came, in Warsaw or online. The new Board and Audit Committee are listed at /about/board. Questions go to the secretariat.
